I just broke down. I wasn’t sad. It was a release. I was happy. I found myself looking back at these last 4 years and I was so incredibly proud of myself. I was happy for me and my sobriety.

I am a big gift giver, not always expensive gifts but I like to give presents that people actually enjoy. I put a lot of thought into my gifts, isn't that the whole point? What a sad day. I had PTSD arising from my alcohol dependency. I felt strong after and ready to tackle life, then I witnessed an overdose. Reflection and gratitude come to mind!
